MATT DAVIS

Matt Davis has been a key part of Sony Pictures Animation from its inception, and was brought to the studio in 2003 to help build the feature animation division from the ground up. He is responsible for pre-production and post-production on all Sony Pictures Animation titles, and has been involved in the formation of film franchises that include “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “Hotel Transylvania,” and the Academy Award®-winner “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

Prior to joining Sony, Davis spent six years at DreamWorks Animation as production supervisor working on all 2D traditional and CG animated features including “The Prince of Egypt” and the Academy Award®-winning “Shrek.”

An Emmy®-nominated writer-producer, Davis is a native of Los Angeles where he lives with his wife and two children. He earned a B.A. in Film and B.S. in History at Brigham Young University.
