
JIM REARDON
Head of Story
Jim Reardon is currently contributing his talents to “Vivo,” Sony Pictures Animation's first-ever animated musical, featuring all new songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda and slated for theatrical release on April 16, 2021.
Prior to joining Sony Pictures Animation, Reardon worked at Walt Disney Animation Studios for over 9 years, serving as writer and head of story on Oscar®-winning feature "Zootopia" as well as the Oscar-nominated features “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”
Reardon was the co-screenwriter and head of story on Pixar Animation Studios’ Oscar-winning feature “WALL-E,” which garnered him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
Reardon has directed over 30 episodes of "The Simpsons," spanning from season 2 to 15, and was credited as a supervising director for seasons 9 through 15. His work on the series earned him five Emmy® Awards and an Annie Award for Best Direction.
Reardon’s previous credits include writer and story editor on "Tiny Toon Adventures," and writer and director on "Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures."
Reardon was born in Vermont and raised on the Oregon Coast, and studied Character Animation at CalArts. He currently resides in Rancho Park with his wife and two daughters.
